Activities, Workshops, and Presenters at the Climate Convergence

The Climate Convergence will feature presentations and workshops on the broad spectrum of issues related to climate change, the energy industry, and the movement building, cultural and societal shifts needed to stop it. To get an idea of the breadth of material we are planning to host a list of some of the workshops we are planning to offer is linked to below.

In addition to educational workshops we'll be having a nightly music, banner and puppet making activities, bike and kayak tours of the surrounding area, and a number of exciting and impactful non-violent direct actions -- Monday the 13th is reserved for a day of action against the energy industry.

The basic event calendar is as follows:

Wednesday, August 8th - Setup, games, hanging out.

Thursday, August 9th - Workshops, and dinner party with local anti-LNG campaigners, music in the evening.

Friday, August 10th - Workshops, music and speakers at night.

Saturday, August 11th - Workshops, speakers and a raging party at night.

Sunday, August 12th - Workshops primarily on action skills trainings, preperation for Monday's day of action, speakers and performances in the evening.

Monday, August 13th - Day of action, victory celebration at night.

Tuesday, August 14th - Clean up, closing reflections and celebration.
